About the event
We will forage for and process natural pigments to be made into encaustic paints using beeswax. We will explore encaustic painting techniques, with safety in mind, and if time allows, paint with our home made encaustics. Participants will bring home their encaustic paints, and whatever is left from their foraging. Materials for each stage of the process will be prepared ahead of time and handouts with recipes will be provided.
